Presentation the concept of SCOs state grant funding reform
Today, Young Scientists Union "Intellect" presented the concept of SCOs state grant funding reform in cooperation with the Civil Society Institute.
The meeting was guided by Mariam Latsabidze - the representative of the Civil Society Institute.
The meeting aimed at presenting the concept of grant funding reform to the SCOs working in Adjara region.
The meeting was held in the interactive mode and the following directions of the grant funding reform were reviewed: determining legislative standartds of the state grant elaboration; Involving local self-government in the state grant system and strengthening inter-agency grant issuance possibilities at the legislative level; Expanding the thematic areas of the state grant; Empowering the public defender by granting rights in the field of human rights.
It should also be noted that, up to 50 public organizations, donor and state agencies in Georgia were involved in concept preparation process.
The meeting was organized by Civil Society Institute and Young Scientists Union "Intellect" within the project "Civil Society Development Initiative" (CSSIGE).
The project is funded by the European Union (EU) and German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
The project is implemented by the Consortium under the guidance of Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS) .
Consortium includes: Civil Society Institute (CSI), Georgian Center for Strategic Research and Development (CSRDG), Consultation and Training Center (CTC) and Education Development and Employment Center (EDEC).
