“Self-government and Development” – this is the training name which was given to the members of Legal-Procedural and Financial-Budgetary Departments of Sakrebulos (Representative Body of self-government) in Adjara A.R. Municipalities by Young Scientists Union Intellect”. The content of the trainings was elaborated based on preliminary interviews. The training aims improving work of self-government bodies and qualifications of Sakrebulo members and promotion to institutional development of self-government bodies.

The training attendants, got acquainted with local regulating law, budgetary system of Georgia, basic principles of Socio-economic development of municipalities, the objective of investment passports, municipal services etc. Studied theoretical material was checked at mock Sakrebulo sessions by training attendants. According to training attendants training was interesting and helpful for them and they will use the received knowledge at trainings in their immediate municipalities.

Training was given by qualified trainers: Levan Gobadze (Doctor of Engineering Sciences), Geno Geladze (Doctor of Education) Davit Ardzenadze (Master of Economics) Mari Papunidze (Bachelor of Business Administration).

Training “Self-government and Development” was held on November 11-14-^th in resort Sairme in the limits of project “Communities for Democratic Elections” by financial support of European Union. Training was participated by 3-3 members of Legal-Procedural and Financial-budgetary Committee members of Khulo, Shukahevi, Keda, Khelvachauri and Kobuleti municipalities (6-6 members per municipality).

Training participants were given the certificates at the end of the training.
