Young Scientists Union "Intellect" awarded the winners of the competition "Best member of the Council" from Khulo, Shuakhevi, Keda, Khelvachauri and Kobuleti municipalities. Jumber Dimitradze has gained the status of "Best member of Council" from Council of Khulo municipality, from Shuakhevi - Phati Chaghalidze, from Keda - Vazha Bolkvadze, from Khelvachauri - Teimuraz Dumbadze and from Kobuleti municipality - Vitali Kartsivadze.

The competition was held within the project "Communities for Democratic Elections" based on the monitoring of the Councils Khulo, Shuakhevi, Keda, Khelvachauri and Kobuleti municipalities. Project was implemented by the financial support of the European Union.

Competition aimed to:

• Provide moral support to the active members of the Councils;
• Promote stimulation and increasing the efficiency of the activities of Council members;
• Rise the level of responsibility of Council members;
• Inculcation of the monitoring practice of the activities of Council members.

"Intellect" evaluated the activities of the Council members with the following criteria:

• Attendance and activity on the commission sessions;
• Reports on Council sessions;
• Initiation of the issues on the Council sessions;
• Solicitations to the higher and other bodies;
• Recommendations of the Council members.

"The best members of the Councils" received the special diplomas and valuable presents.
