Training organized by Young Scientists Union “Intellect” in the limits of project “Communities for Democratic Elections” is finished. Training “Principles of Local Self-government” was given to selected educators in all five municipalities of Adjara region (Khulo, Shuakhevi, Keda, Khelvachauri and Kobuleti). Upon completion of training educators commenced educational activities.

Community educators work for enhancement of population awareness level regarding to elections. They are informing voting-age population about principles of self-government, the importance of their votes, essence of self-government, Sakrebulo’s activities, as well as functions of Majoritarian deputy of Sakrebulo and their accountability to the electors.

At present 2204 beneficiaries are fixed in database which means that selected educators met with 2204 voting-age population and informed them about principles of self-government. Educational activity will continue until May 30 of recent year and it will cover 2/3 of community population.
