By the initiative of Young Scientists Union "Intellect" from December, 2014 the campaign has started in Khulo, Shuakhevi, Keda, Khelvachauri, Kobuleti municipalities, the purpose of which was promoting of the meetings between members of the councils and the population of communities, establishing practice of collaborative research of problems existing in the communities and reporting to the population about the implemented activities, transforming such meetings into the tradition.

Majoritarian members of Councils have met with their voters in the communities of Ajara region municipalities (Khulo, Shuakhevi, Keda, Khelvachauri, Kobuleti) under the initiative of Young Scientists Union "Intellect". Meetings were organized by the majoritarian members of Councils. At the meetings Majoritarian deputies and the population were discussing problems of the communities and defining priorities.

Furthermore, majoritarian members were providing information to their voters about the implemented work form the date of recognition of newly elected Council till the reporting period, which envisaged as working on the legal acts, as well as working regarding the social, economic and infrastructural projects approved by the local budget of 2015 and the future plans.

During the meeting the representatives of "Intellect" were conducting the research of the needs and requirements of community population by the approved methodology.

It should be noted that the number of the members of Council has shown a high sense of responsibility while organizing and conducting the meetings in the business-like atmosphere. Especially noteworthy majoritarian deputies are - Jumber Dimitradze form Agara community of Khulo municipality, Janguli Shainidze - Skhalta community, Malkhaz Kochalidze - Riyeti community, Zaur Gobadze - Didajara community;

Majoritarian deputies from Shuakhevi municipality - Armaz Bakhtadze - Uchamba community and Gela Abashidze - Dghvani community;

Majoritarian deputies form Keda municipality - Rezo Turmanidze - Merisi community, Guram Ananidze - Tskhmorisi community and Roman Bedinadze - Makhuntseti community;

Majoritarian deputies form Khelvachauri municipality - Abdi Beridze - Makhinjauri community and Jemal Muskhajba - Pheria community;

Majoritarian deputies form Kobuleti municipality - Archil Dumbadze - Khutsubani community, Iveri Gugunava - Vil. Kobuleti community, Archil Jincharadze - Zeniti community, Mamuka Mikeladze - Daba Chakvi community, Temur Davitadze - Sachino community, Imeda Khajishvili - Mukhaestate community and Nukri Bejanidze -  Tsikhisdziri community.

Majoritarian deputies of Ghorjomi and Dioknisi communities from Khulo municipality - Eduard Mikeladze and Roin Paksadze have not took part in the initiative of "Intellect" and did not met the population. This mission was undertaken by the Council memebrs who was selected by the proportional system - Badri Beridze and Zviad Dzirkvadze. Deputies of Oladauri and Shubani communities of Shuakhevi municipality - Otar Surmanidze and Shota Bolkvadze have not attended the meetings at all.

To date, under the initiative of Young Scientists Union "Intellect" from aal 63 communities of Ajara region meeting with the community population has not been conducted only in Dandalo community of Keda municipality. The majoritarian deputy of above mentioned community - Genadi Ardzenadze keeps promising to conduct the meeting later.

The meetings of majoritarian deputies with the community population were conducted under the EU-funded project "Communities for Democratic Elections"

Young Scientists Union "Intellect" is planning to continue promoting the meetings between the community population and the members of Councils, and thus support population to get closer cooperation between majoritarian deputies and the population.
