None-governmental organization Young Scientists Union “Intellect” conducted scientific-practical conference on the issues of municipalities’ socio-economic development. “Socio-economic Development of Adjara Region Municipalities, Prospects and Challenges” - it is the title of conference which was held in Radisson Blu Batumi on July 1-st.

During the conference specific aspects of socio-economic development of Adjara region  municipalities were discussed by the representatives of government and Supreme Council of Adjara A.R. republic, self-government bodies of Keda, Kobuleti, Khelvachauri, Khulo and Shuakhevi municipalities, representatives of academic and business sector and independent experts as well.

Health defense and social field, education, competitiveness of municipalities and sectoral clusters, conditions of civil organizations and prospects for cooperation among sectors, management of civil sector of economy, capabilities for mortgage lending market growth -  this is a list of questions which were discussed at the conference.

Conference was divided into three parts: At the first plenary session the reviews were made on situation in basic fields;

After the first plenary session conference members continued working in thematic sections. Each section was managed by moderators.

In final part of the conference section moderators made presentation of results achieved in the section as a result of working.
