Goal of the project:

Working out an effective, rural development policy established on European experience;

Intensifying municipality development processes and activating mechanism of community population involvement;

Reduction the process of sectional migration from the village;

Supporting the development of innovating business and process of the local employment;

Activities to be implemented in the scope of the project:

LAG establishment;

Working out the medium-term strategy of the community development;

Working out sub-programs;

Project implementation.

Project results:

The Local Action Group (LAG) has been created in Riketi community;

The methodologic guideline on LAG formation proceeds has been developed;

“Community House” has been built and equipped. It has a room for exhibiting local craft’s enterprise; ethnographic exhibits; tourism information center; Guest-House;  adult education center;

2 young people with foreign language skills have been trained in tour guiding;

To promote wrestling, the community schools have been equipped with wrestling mats and punching dummies;

To upgrade their qualification, PE teachers and trainers have taken special trainings in wrestling;

To promote ski sports and healthy life-style Riketi community public schools have been equipped with 85 pairs of skies with skiing sets.
