Action Implementation Period: 29.09.2006 – 30.03.2007

Supporting democratic processes, population knowledge and awareness level enhancement on the issues of self-government, popularization of idea of self-governance, increasing population participation role in self-government process in  all five municipalities of Adjara region (Khelvachauri, Keda, Shuakhevi, Khulo and Kobuleti). Objectives of the Action: 35 000 informational booklets were disseminated in 63 communities of municipalities and educational meetings on the questions of local self-governance were organized for 10100 people in small groups as well as 126 general meetings were organized for active participants of the above-stated educational meetings (3 600 members) in order to achieve action objectives. Results of the Action: Real social institutions continuing participation in self-government processes were created, 35 000 informational booklets were disseminated and meetings were organized for all small groups of communities in the limits of the action. Trainings were given to community population and Sakrebulo members.  Action was completed successfully within the terms foreseen under action plan.
