TRAINING FOR THE LOCAL EDUCATOR
In the scope of the project – “Communities for Democratic Elections”, Young Scientists Union “Intellect” will conduct the training for the educators of the selected communities of the Ajara region.
During the training, attendees will learn key issues of the Legislation regulating the local self-government along with the methods of holding educational meetings:
- The Constitution of Georgia;
- Code of Self-Government of Georgia (new law about Self-government);
- European Charter on the local Self-government
- Population involvement in the self-governing processes;
- The Electoral Legislation;
- The Electoral procedures;
- Means of protecting their own votes for the citizens;
- Methodology for holding educational activities.
The training will be conducted by the professional trainers:
- Levan Gobadze – Doctor of technical science, Chairman of board of Young Scientists Union “Intellect”;
- Geno Geladze – Doctor of education, Chairman of the executive board of the Institute of Democracy;
- Nugzar Kekelidze – Community Mobilizer at Young Scientists Union “Intellect”.
Duration of the training is 15 days.
After the trainings, 92 local educators will hold educational meetings in their communities during the period of 3 months.
